Offpeak recently announced that they raised USD800,000 for Series A round from Gobi Partners. They are a restaurant discovery platform that provides instant restaurant booking and dining privileges based right here in Kuala Lumpur. Gobi Partners is a venture capital firm that made their first investment in Malaysia since they opened their KL office earlier this year. How did Offpeak raise these funds without having a business model as they are offering their services for free? What will they do with these funds?
