Michael Helfman offers a slice of New York by setting up a pizzeria in Bangsar last April. The head pizza man for Mikey’s New York Pizza, Andrew Bellucci was previously a pie man and is also obsessed with pizza. He opened Lombardi’s in SoHo in late 1994 and spread the word about how the original Lombardi’s was opened in 1905 by Gennaro Lombardi, an Italian immigrant who introduced pizza to New York City. Today, you can taste the Lombardi influenced pizzas with Mikey’s New York Pizza in Bangsar and Publika.
