Founded by Meriam Alfonso, along with her husband, Stanley Siva, Kayra sets out to bring the time-honoured recipes of the Keralite heritage to the grounds of KL. The inspiration behind Kayra started over 65 years ago with the opening of the first Kerala Restaurant in Johor Bahru, which was established by Meriam’s grandfather. Kayra pays homage to this heritage, and serves authentic recipes handed down through the generations, renowned for its distinct use of coconut. The palate-pampering dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, is lovingly crafted and celebrates the true flavours of Kerala.
