Empathy In The Workplace

Businesses and profitability go hand in hand, but often in the pursuit of profits, the needs and feelings of the people involved in the business are overlooked or ignored. The truth is, understanding what people want, showing them care and respect and taking the trouble to know them often has a bigger and better effect than just monetary rewards. So what is empathy and why is it so crucial at the workplace? It’s the last Monday of the month and as usual we have Human Equation founder Sheila Singam with us to share her thoughts on empathy at the workplace through a number of case studies.
