Women Are Underrepresented in Science

Women still are underrepresented in science. According to UN data, women are typically given smaller research grants than their male counterparts. Does Malaysia reflect the same situation?

Jessica Ooi Sui Ying is a PhD candidate at The University of Nottingham Malaysia. Her project now revolves around developing a device to detect ovarian cancer. She shares her experience as a former pharmacist and a researcher in Malaysia.
