Social enterprises always have issues with funding. Having the word “social” enterprise as a prefix doesn’t help in the eyes of banks and investors. Luckily, there are alternative methods to get financial boosts, and as the Malaysian government outlined in Budget 2020, they’re willing to lend a hand as well.
