Zachary Haris Ong, the president-elect of the International Council of Design, explains the work this Montreal-headquartered council do to represent design as a medium for social change. He will be running a series of design-related events called Reka Negaraku. We ask him why a National Design Policy is important for a country like Malaysia and the value of design to the economy.
