U.S. President Barack Obama’s visit to Malaysia is part of his four-nation tour of Asia Pacific, a rebalancing to Asia agenda with the twin-emphases of trade and security. His arrival is the first by a sitting US president in almost 50 years since Lyndon Johnson's trip in 1966. As Obama concludes his visit in Malaysia and heads toward the Philippines today, we ask foreign policy analyst Elina Noor of ISIS what Obama accomplished during his time in Malaysia and get an overview of U.S.-Malaysia relations going forward.
