Good health, education, housing and access to the basic needs of life are basic human rights which the poor are often deprived of. Last year, Sungai Siput Member of Parliament Dr. Jeyakumar Devaraj surveyed 130 low income Malay families in his constituency, and discovered some uncomfortable facts and trends. He joined us to discuss his findings and recommendations to address this issue of rural poverty in Malaysia.
