If you’ve been on social media the past few months, you’ve probably come across posts, photos and videos of the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. While it’s actually a defamation trial, much of it revolves around accusations of domestic violence from both sides, and what fans have posted online in response to the ongoing trial has been - in many cases - disturbing and triggering. With how widely it’s being talked about online, how might this impact survivors of domestic violence or people who are still in abusive relationships?
