While child marriage can happen to both boys and girls, in most places around the world, the practice mostly affects girls. Girls Not Brides is a global partnership of more than 1000 civil society organisations from over 95 countries, committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential. Just last month, they held their global meeting right here in Kuala Lumpur, and we find out more about both the organisation, and the outcomes from last month's meeting, from Lakshmi Sundaram, the Executive Director of Girls Not Brides.
