Even though the overall rate of stroke is decreasing, it is increasing for younger adults - those between 20 and 54 years of age. According to the American Heart Association, one-third of people who survive stroke before age 50 are left with long-lasting disability. We speak to Dr Ramesh Narenthiranathan, Consultant Neurosurgeon to find out about the causes of stroke in younger adults and how to prevent it.
