Mind the Health Gap #6: Knowing When, Where, and How To Seek Healthcare

We don’t plan to fall ill, to need to go to a hospital, or to have to live with a chronic health condition. But if - or when - it happens, how many Malaysians have the knowledge to know when and where to seek healthcare, and how to navigate our healthcare system? Are we sufficiently equipped and informed to make decisions for our health, considering how unhealthy we are as a nation? To wrap up our mini series on healthcare accessibility, we explore why health literacy is vital to improve our access to healthcare with Assoc Prof Dr Adina Abdullah, from the Department of Primary Care Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Malaya.
