The Ministry of Health has proposed the formation of a National Autism Council, which will serve as a multidisciplinary platform to coordinate and provide services for individuals with autism. While details about the Council are still scanty, we speak to Dr Rajini Sarvananthan, Consultant Developmental Paediatrician; Julian Wong, Chairman of the National Autism Society of Malaysia; and Dr Hasnah Toran from Raudah Autisme, to find out what parents, educators and service providers would like to see from the Council.
