 After human smugglers fled the scene, thousands of migrants have been left to starve adrift wooden boats at sea. With South-east Asia is in the grips of a spiralling humanitarian crisis, the United Nations has pleaded for countries in the region to keep their borders open and help rescue those stranded. As a follow-up to our discussion on Talkback Thursday about the refugee situation, we continued the conversation with Human Rights Commissioner James Nayaham about Suhakam's stand on the matter, what the real story is, and what sorts of solutions are feasible.
