Top 5 at 5: Malaysia to Introduce Good Samaritan Law

The government is considering introducing the Good Samaritan Law as a way to protect individuals aiding others in emergencies. We hear more insights on this from Dr Mohammad Aizuddin Azizah Ariffin, a consultant emergency physician from Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.

· The collapse of the German government: Chancellor Olaf Scholz has lost a confidence vote, paving the way for an early election in February. · Chinese character of the year: Shēng (升), which means to increase or rise, has been voted as the Chinese character of the year. To understand why shēng reasonated with Malaysians, we hear from Dr Gan Yee Chin, a senior lecturer from the Department of Languages and Applied Linguistics at Universiti Malaya.
