Empowering Parents to Read and Speak English

When it comes to your child learning how to read and speak English, it is surprising how much children pick up from interaction with their parents. Even something as simple as reading a bed time story can vastly increase their level of English. But how many parents actually take time to do that? And what if the parents don't have an interest in reading, or don't speak English confidently themselves?

Dr Elsie Chin, an English Language Trainer, talks to Meera Sivasothy on how to empower parents to read and speak English for their child's benefit.
