Remembering a Malaysian future - Wawasan 2020

As Malaysians celebrate and reflect over what it means to live together as an imagined community in such fractious times, we thought that perhaps it is worth revisiting a particular ideal, planted almost thirty years ago by our then and current Prime Minister, that once offered a roadmap towards unity, prosperity, happiness and peace - Wawasan 2020. Joining us in the studio is Lim Sheau Yun, a researcher who is currently developing an archival project next year on this futurist ideal. We assess its legacies and explore what was it like growing up with this vision at the most formative periods of our lives.
