How Covid-19 Impacted Ecotourism and Lives in Taman Negara

Many industries have been hit by the pandemic, with tourism remaining the most affected one. The ecotourism sector hasn't been spared, and some of the communities who rely on it are struggling to survive. Today, we want to focus on how the recent two-week closure of Taman Negara impacted the local communities living there, and how you can help them in these very trying times.

If you'd like to donate and help them through these trying times, you can bank in any amount to the Kechara Soup Kitchen Society's Maybank account - the account number is 5122-3133-4874. Do include #tamannegara in your transaction slip for their reference.

If you'd like to receive a tax exemption slip, you can get in touch with Kechara via whatsapp at 010-333-3260, and send them your transaction slip, full name and address. You can also follow either Dr Valarmathy or the Kechara Soup Kitchen's Facebook pages for updates, and to keep track of the progress of this fundraiser.
