There has been a call by some fans to boycott the upcoming Mulan film after actor Crystal Liu Yifei, who plays Mulan in the film, made a post supporting the Hong Kong’s police in the ongoing protests. We discuss whether an actor’s politics should also affect how we feel about their work.
